Vignettes

Life is cycles of remembering and forgetting.  May we always grow to remember what we have come to be.  ~Lolo Montana

vi·gnette

/vinˈyet/

noun

     1. a brief evocative description, account, or episode.

     2. a small illustration or portrait photograph which fades into its background without a definite border.

verb

     1. portray (someone) in the style of a vignette.

Life is full of vignettes from picturesque panoramas to nitty gritty details sometimes all well focused crisp and clear as far as you can see, at others a blur.  Consider the analogy of vignettes where one is focused at the center of an experience yet fades as the borders reach out into the world and mingle peacefully and smoothly with what is influenced at that moment or segment of time while melding into the next lucid, dim, or dull vignette.  At 60, I’m reviewing my life in vignettes, each one grown from the last and into the next all in a definitely dedicated spiritual journey.

More to come…the demons, dragons, and gems.
